1. Agreement

By creating an account, purchasing a license, or using any part of the Relay service, you agree to these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms apply to all use of Relay, including use through Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, ChatGPT, or any other AI assistant connected via MCP (Model Context Protocol).

2. What Relay Is

Relay is a social media publishing tool. It connects your AI assistant to your social media accounts so you can draft and publish content through conversation. Relay acts as a conduit between your AI assistant and the social platforms you authorize.

Relay does not generate content on your behalf. It does not decide what to post. It does not act autonomously. Every post — whether published directly or approved from a draft — is the result of an action you initiate or explicitly approve.

You are responsible for all content published through your Relay account.

3. Platform Terms Compliance

3.1 Your obligation

You must comply with the Terms of Service, Community Standards, Developer Policies, and Acceptable Use Policies of every social media platform you connect to Relay. This includes but is not limited to:

  • X (Twitter): X Terms of Service, X Developer Agreement and Policy, X Rules
  • Instagram: Instagram Terms of Use, Meta Platform Terms, Instagram Community Guidelines
  • Facebook: Facebook Terms of Service, Meta Platform Terms, Facebook Community Standards
  • Bluesky: Bluesky Terms of Service, Bluesky Community Guidelines
  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn User Agreement, LinkedIn Professional Community Policies

These policies change over time. You are responsible for staying current with them.

3.2 API usage

When you connect a platform account to Relay, Relay accesses that platform's API on your behalf under your authorization. Your use of Relay constitutes your agreement to use those APIs only in ways permitted by each platform's developer and API terms.

3.3 No guarantee of compliance

Relay does not and cannot guarantee that any specific post, posting pattern, or usage behavior complies with any platform's policies. Platform policies are enforced by the platforms, not by Relay. Account actions taken by a platform — including warnings, restrictions, suspensions, or bans — are the responsibility of the account holder.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted use

You may use Relay to:

  • Publish original content to social accounts you own or are expressly authorized to manage
  • Save and review drafts before publishing
  • Check post risk and manage your publishing history
  • Connect and disconnect platform accounts at any time

4.2 Prohibited conduct

The following are violations of these Terms and will result in account suspension or termination:

Spam and artificial amplification

  • Posting the same or substantially similar content repeatedly to the same or multiple platforms
  • Artificially inflating engagement, follower counts, or reach through automated or coordinated behavior
  • Using Relay to participate in follow/unfollow schemes, like exchanges, or any form of inauthentic engagement

Coordinated inauthentic behavior

  • Operating multiple accounts to amplify the same content or message
  • Impersonating a person, organization, brand, or public figure
  • Creating or distributing content designed to deceive audiences about its origin, author, or authenticity
  • Participating in influence operations or coordinated campaigns intended to manipulate public opinion through deceptive means

Illegal and harmful content

  • Publishing content that violates any applicable law, including laws relating to copyright, defamation, privacy, harassment, and incitement
  • Publishing content that constitutes harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of any individual or group
  • Publishing content that sexualizes minors in any way
  • Publishing content that facilitates fraud, phishing, or other deceptive schemes
  • Publishing content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity

Platform abuse

  • Attempting to exceed platform-imposed rate limits, API quotas, or content policies using Relay
  • Using Relay to test platform vulnerability, scrape data, or probe API behavior beyond normal publishing use
  • Attempting to use Relay to access platform functionality not authorized under your account type

Service abuse

  • Sharing your license key with any other person or using a single license key across multiple individuals
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary components of Relay
  • Attempting to bypass rate limits, safety checks, or authentication controls

4.3 AI-generated content

You are responsible for all content the AI assistant generates and publishes through your account, whether you wrote it yourself or the AI generated it in response to your instructions. The fact that content was AI-generated is not a defense against violation of these terms or any platform's policies.

5. Enforcement

5.1 Enforcement actions

Depending on the severity and nature of a violation, Relay may take any of the following actions without prior notice:

  1. Warning — notification of violation with required correction
  2. Rate restriction — temporary reduction of posting limits
  3. MCP access suspension — temporary suspension of AI publishing access
  4. Full account suspension — suspension of all access pending review
  5. Account termination — permanent revocation of the license key, no refund

Relay reserves the right to skip earlier steps for severe violations including illegal content, coordinated inauthentic behavior, impersonation, and content that endangers safety.

5.2 Cooperation with platforms

Relay will cooperate with social media platforms investigating potential policy violations by Relay users. Relay reserves the right to proactively report to platform operators behavior that appears to violate their terms.

5.3 Appeals

Contact support@relay.amkentech.com within 14 days of a suspension action. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days.

6. Posting Limits and Safety Controls

Relay enforces daily and hourly posting limits by plan tier. Relay applies automated safety checks before publishing including content risk scoring and duplicate content detection. These checks are estimates, not guarantees. You should review content before publishing regardless of risk score.

7. License Keys

Your license key is personal and non-transferable. One license key is for one individual user. Sharing a license key is a violation of these terms and will result in termination without refund.

8. Your Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content published through your account, ensuring compliance with each platform's policies, obtaining necessary rights for content you publish, and any consequences resulting from published content.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Relay and Amkentech from claims, liabilities, damages, and costs arising from your use of Relay, content published through your account, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any platform's terms of service.

10. Service Availability

Relay is provided as-is. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. We are not liable for missed posts, failed publishes, or business losses resulting from service unavailability.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may cancel via your Stripe billing portal. Upon termination, your license key is deactivated and platform connections are removed. Post history is available for 30 days after termination, then deleted.

12. Changes to These Terms

We will notify you by email at least 7 days before material changes take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relay and Amkentech are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
